Since my previous post, I've decided that I'm going to spend my time back in Vana'diel doing all the things I never finished, like unlock some jobs, fight Maat, and kill NM's. Well, I killed an NM tonight that I camped for months back when I was playing.
I was going through my inventory when I noticed I had Cassandra's Earring, but never got the match for the set; Hellenus's Earring. If you don't know, When you have the both of them equiped, you get a Mag. Accuracy +5 and Mag. Attack Bonus +5. For months, I used to camp the NM's for this trying to get them both, when eventually I got one of them, Cassandra's Earring. Then for months after that, I camped Eldrich Edge to get Hellenus's earring, but never got it.
Well tonight I had one hell of a crazy fight. My friend and I popped Eldrich and started the fight. Once he got to about 20% health, i died, which zoned me to Windurst (my homepoint). I quickly popped on my Nexus Cape, warped back to the fight, and started back. Well one he got to around 10% HP, i died again. My friend, playing as a BRD, couldn't finish the fight by himself, so he started to run toward Jeuno to zone him. Well, I used the Windurst > Whitegate > Jeuno warps, set my homepoint in lower jeuno and ran back out to Rolanberry Fields right when my friend was reaching the zone for Jeuno. Right at the zone, we started the fight back. I died again, but my homepoint was right there so I came right back into the fight. After a progression of dying about 3 more times, we finially finished the fight.

Anthony started playing FFXI again. Now it's me and him. Just need to get Danny and Josh and Heather.

My laptop is really pissing me off. Lately it's been running entirely below performance. I used the diagnostic tools that I retained from working at Geeksquad and lo and behold....there is nothing wrong with the hardware. Also ran multiple virus scans against 6 virus engines and nothing came up.
The I decided to take a look at my resource monitors. I have to use oracle for class and apparently, it's services are constantly running, taking average 2.5gb of memory.
Finding this out, along with the long overdue need to reformat my laptop, I've decided to just to a clean install. So this is going to be my night.

In less than a week from now, on Feb 1st, 2012, I start my new job and also my first job in my chosen career path. I shall be a new Enterprise Management Systems Analyst I for BB&T.
I should also mention that I'm going to be making more money than I could ever imagine, but that's a moot point. What I'm most excited about is that I've worked my ass off for a position like this in school and my personal life, and also through past jobs. Super excited about this position.
So I started playing FFXI again.
Apparently I'm on Fenrir server now since all the server merges and such.
This is the official start of my plan to change things.
Go!

Ive probably said it a hundred times, but it's amazing how life can just get amazingly busy.
Work has me stressed out so much. My internship is over at the end of December so I need to find a permanent job here soon. I did get a call yesterday though about a Database and Application programming posiotion within the company, so really hoping I get that.
Other than that not much to report on except that I've finally got heather watching the Harry Potter movies. Half-blood Prince is next.

Last night was my last night working as a Geek Squad agent at Bestbuy. I'll miss working there, but on the other side of thought, I'm relived to have my weekends back.
Now if only I can get hired into full time position I applied for at the bank instead of just my intern position. I applied for the IT Network Support Specialist Tier 1.

So I have a huge task ahead of me at work. Apparently, some of the other departments like the VBA scripting I did to auto generate some forms in Excel an MS Word. Now I've been given the task of translating these scripts into web forms for input that run the scripting on an Asp.Net platform.
Only one problem....I'm not familiar wit Asp.Net
Looks like I have a lot of learning ahead of me
Honestly though, you have no idea how seriously excited about this I am.

calmSo a little update since the last time that I crawled out to type.
Spencer started school, he's in Pre K. He enjoys it, though every morning he says he doesn't want to go. Love that kid.
I started working as an Intern in Networking for a pretty big bank company. It's pretty awesome, though networking isn't a field I would have ever chosen for myself. Programmer at heart and always will be. Along with this internship, I work as a GeekSquad agent at the Bestbuy in Wilson, NC.

excitedSo for the past couple of years, I've realized that I'm getting older. Now I know, I'm only 24 (25 later this year), but I've already started to see some of the effects that come with getting older. One of those is that I no longer seem to be able to dedicate time to the thing I once spent my childhood/teenage years doing; playing video games.
It seems that lately when I play a game, I'll get about 2 days worth of playing into it, then I'll just stop. I don't go back to the game, I don't even care to finish the game. I don't know what it is or why I do that, but it's how I've been for a b out a year or so now. I'll always be a gamer at heart and I'll always have plenty of memories that went along with playing these games like late night with friends.
So to give myself one last hurrah at this, I'm issue myself a 100 game challenge. From now until the end of this year, I want to complete 100 games. To help me keep track of this, I'm using my Backloggery account.
I've already got some games in there, some I've added, and some that were suggestions to me, but It's only got ~50ish games so far and I need more. So throw out some games to me, no matter what they are. The only stipulation that I have is that the game has to have some sort of accomplish-able ending.
Completely sick. Sore throat, body hurts, sinus pressure, completely stuffy, and sweating like i'm in a sauna. This is my weekend off work, completely off, and I'm sick.
On a side note, I have to take my NOS120 (Linux+) Final Exam today. Couldn't get any better, amirite?
The past few days have been really good. Thursday night, went out to eat at Applebees with Shaune, Justin, Vans, Heather, Spence, and Daniel. Haven't seen Daniel in a while since the band days and since he left for the navy. Gave Justin an amazing book called "The Outragous Limerick Book", he seemed to really like it.
Friday night got to eat with Josh Vester at Chico's and give him the Minecraft shirt we got him.
This morning, Spence and Emi had a T-ball game. It was supposed to be yesterday afternoon but it got rained out so they decided to have it at 10 this morning. 4yr and 6yr old kids at 10 in the morning to play T-ball is never a good idea. They were both a little cranky, but we survived.
Hopefully, the rest of the weekend will go smoothly. I have to work tonight 3:30pm-9:30pm, but I'm off tomorrow because of Easter. I have so much homework to get done because of finals this week, so maybe I can get it all finished.

Life has been getting so busy for me lately, I really need something that's going to keep me focused to some degree on something. Livejournal posts shall be coming at more frequent intervals other than once a year. So lets be cliche' and start with a (re)cap of my current life.
Currently working at BestBuy in Wilson, NC as a Geek Squad agent (CIA). Mostly work mid-afternoon to closing hours (~3 - 9:30). Also currently still in school, for a programming degree at the moment. This semester I'm taking
aggravated
So a little back story. Monday I called suddenlink to have cable tv added to my services with them. After getting a great deal blah blah, i was asked when i wanted to schedule for them to come out and set it up. See I work from 8-5 in a city 1hr from my home. WIth this in mind, I asked for the 6pm-8pm timeslot, so i knew i would be home.
Well at 5pm, when i got off work, I received a call from the tech, at which time i was unable to answer my phone. I tried calling this tech back, several times, and he would not answer his phone. When i got home, there was a note on my door saying that the tech was here at 5:03pm and if i wanted to rescedule my installation then i needed to call some number.
I did not want to reschedule. I wanted my 6-8 for tonight like I asked for. Obviously i was pissed. So i called suddenlink. I was on hold for over 40 minutes.
WHile i was on hold, i decided to take advantage of their Online Chat support service.
AND THIS IS WHAT FOLLOWED
anxiousLost Season 6 premiers.
I'll be in NYC, attending a Lost premier party.
